FAQ:
"How do I commission Geoff Reed Photography?"
1. You tell us what you need.
After twenty years in the photography business, we know that no two jobs are the same! So, we want to know: What are YOUR needs? Who and what is to be photographed? What is your deadline? Where and when do you need to shoot? What style and format do you require? Who is your intended audience? Where and for how long will the photographs be used?
2. We estimate your price.
Once we have defined your requirements, we present you with a written estimate, which is the sum of the creative photography fee, expenses, and usage fee. (Usage fee is based on the extent to which the photograph will be used.) As in any free market service, fees will vary greatly among photographers. It’s easy to get caught in the trap of shopping price instead of looking for value. Please keep in mind that the expertise, equipment and capabilities that we bring to your job, represent a true value which may be far greater than a perceived difference in price. The distinct impression we make with our pictures is what you're paying for.

3. We negotiate your job.
Is our estimate negotiable? Sure it’s just an estimate! The purpose for giving you a written estimate is to define what we think you said. If your needs or budget don’t fit into our initial estimate, let’s talk! We are always interested in helping our clients save money! Perhaps we can economize with fewer shots, simplified production values, or reduced media exposure.
4. We confirm availability and terms of your assignment.
If you like our work and our price, then let’s get started! You may reserve a date for our Photo shoot by signing our Assignment Estimate / Confirmation Work Order and sending us a deposit for 50% of the estimate. The balance will be due upon your receipt and acceptance of the completed photography.
